| The Official
RBI Baseball Championship of the Universe Tournament
(COTUT) is a nonprofit tournament that is held every other year in the
Chicago suburbs. Tengen's RBI Baseball for the
original Nintendo Entertainment System is the videogame used in the
tournament. The First RBI Baseball COTUT was
held in December 2000 with 16 players from the Chicago
metropolitan area. It was a double elimination tournament held
over a three day period. Due to its massive success and
popularity, the Second RBI Baseball COTUT
was
held in December 2002 with a record 32 players. It featured a higher level of competition, drawing participants from across the
nation. The Third RBI Baseball COTUT
took place in June 2004, featuring even more out-of-staters and diehard players. The Fourth RBI Baseball COTUT
recently took place in June 2006. It proved to be the most
successful and competitive COTUT yet, attracting 18 players from 10
states. The Fifth RBI Baseball COTUT will take place in June 2008. This challenging tournament tests not only the skill of its players, but their physical and mental toughness as well. We welcome any hardcore players willing to join us to prove their RBI skill. |
